I had the opportunity to try out my new favorite hobby at the wedding of my good friends Janelle and Stevie. I was not their actual photographer, but they gave me permission to shoot away. (If you read my twitter post the night of the wedding you might think that I got a little carried away.) I have known the two of them since high school and my mom actually taught Janelle in the second grade, so it was nice to see them finally tie the knot.
Their real photographer was D.J. Ellis of La Bella Vita Photography and you can check out the shots he took for their engagement here. I also only got photos of the reception due to not wanting to interrupt the ceremony.
Thanks guys for letting me have some fun and hope you enjoy the pics.
You can click on the photo to get a bigger version and there are plenty more after the jump.
Know that your family will always be there for you. They may even help you slow dance…

Holy hell, bro. You’ve got one hell of an eye. I’m not giving you anymore tips; you’ll be running me out of business in no time. Awesome stuff amigo, keep it up.
Wow–these are awesome, Nick! I love looking at all of your work…you’ve got great talent. Ever think of turning this “hobby” into a side business?
Oh my gosh FOF, you are talented! I can’t wait to see the rest. These are awesome! We are in Oahu right now and family told us to check them out!
Thank you for taking these!

Amazing pictures! 🙂 There’s something amazing about a good eye and candid shots. 🙂
Hey I saw you’re following me on twitter, and we know the same people. My husband and I are photographers, and this is some good stuff. DJ is our bud. Hope to meet you in person some day…
Nick: You’re an absolute genius with a camera. What kind of camera are you using? My camera of choice is a Kodak Instamatic with the revolving flash cube. All kidding aside, your photographs are fantastic.
